The epic film of Indian cinema 'Sholay' is all set to release in a 3D
avatar on October 11. The film has been refurbished in 3D keeping in
mind the younger generation. The release date of the film was
purposely chosen on October 11 as it is the birth date of Bollywood's
megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
"The date was specifically chosen as it coincides with Bachchan's big
day. He is the biggest star we have today and what better day to
release the film," said the source.
Earlier, the blockbuster was to be released on August 15, but due to
other films releasing on the same date the producers have decided to
postpone the release date. Though, the promo of the film could be out
on the Independence Day.
The producers are planning to invite the complete star cast- Amitabh
Bachchan, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Hema Malini.
'Sholay' was directed by Ramesh Sippy and produced by GP Sippy and
music was given by the legendry RD Burman.
