Bollywood In This Week: Top Moments of Bollywood of this Week

The past week was a huge one for Bollywood. While 'Chennai Express'
released, and looks like there is no halting this juggernaut, Salman
celebrated a quiet Eid at home. Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, walked
the ramp as Priyanka Chopra became a paisewali.

'Chennai Express', Full Speed Ahead:

What Shah Rukh Khan was promoting for over two months finally
culminated this week with the release of 'Chennai
Express'. And it created records at the
box office. The movie earned Rs 6.75
crores nett through paid previews and Rs 33.12 crores nett on Friday. It became
the film to earn the highest through paid previews. At the same time, it also
broke 'Ek Tha Tiger's record of highest
collection on the day of release. The film
won't rest till it breaks '3 Idiots' record at the box-office, of
being the highest
grosser.

Bollywood Reunion:

A lot has been spoken about the Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan hug at
Baba Siddiqui's Iftar party. But the two actors were seen at the same
location within a few minutes of each other. Both Salman Khan and Shah
Rukh Khan shot at Mehboob Studios for their respective shoots. While
it is publicly not known whether they spoke to each other at the
studio, we'll wager that they did.

Alia Bhatt, Hot Model:

Many Bollywood actors and actresses walked at the India International
Jewellery Week which ended this week. But no one made more of an
impression than Alia Bhatt. While everyone wore traditional outfits,
full of colour, Alia Bhatt wore a black dress while doing the catwalk
for designer Pallavi Foley. She wore hoops with pearls fitted into it.
Goes without saying, that the crowd ended up enamoured by her.

Priyanka Paisewali:

Priyanka Chopra had sworn off item numbers with suggestive lyrics.
Remember when she checked the
lyrics to 'Babli Badmaash' beforehand?
Looks like she has finally thrown all
caution to the wind. She appeared in
two promotional videos for the 'Zanjeer' remake. While the first one
concentrated on the actor Ram Charan Teja, it also had Priyanka Chopra
mouthing suggestive lyrics while handling Ram Charan's gun.
For the second song, Pinky Paisewali, her character Pinky does not
belong to any Mumbaiwala, or Dilliwala, but she
belongs to the Paisewalon.

Eid Mubarak:

Finally, Eid arrived on Friday and Bollywood hosted Eid parties. While
Shah Rukh Khan had a gathering
for the media, Amitabh Bachchan
attended a party hosted by directed
Shaad Ali. Javed Jaffrey too hosted his
annual Eid party. But the odd one out was Salman Khan, who not having an Eid
release this year, stayed at home and
spent a quiet Eid with his family.
