Farhan Akhtar wants to work with Salman Khan

Farhan Akhtar has worked as a producer
and director with two Khans — Shah
Rukh and Aamir. But he's yet to work with the third — Salman. Although the
Dabangg (2010) actor has stated in an
earlier interview that filmmakers like Farhan and Karan Johar "don't want to
work with me," the former begs to differ.

"I have approached him in the past, so I
think, that in itself is an indication that I
would like to — at some point — give
him the material that I think is appropriate to him," Farhan told HT Café
during an office visit to promote his latest blockbuster, Bhaag Milkha
Bhaag. In the past, Farhan has apparently approached Salman twice with
scripts, but the latter didn't show any interest.

"As I (have always) said, I felt it's (script) right for him, but he
didn't feel that it's right for him. So, would I like to work with
him? Yes, but given the right nature of the film. Whether we will, who
knows?" added Farhan, whose father Javed Akhtar once worked closely with
Salman's father, Salim Khan. The duo has written several blockbusters
like Zanjeer (1973), Deewar (1975), Sholay (1975) and Don (1978).

In fact, rumours suggest that Talaash
(2012), which was produced by Farhan,
was also offered to Salman. "He was
offered many films by us," said the
filmmaker-actor, who is yet to direct a
film after his 2011 hit, Don 2. He will next be seen acting in Shaadi
Ke Side Effects
opposite Vidya Balan.
