Shahrukh Khan keeps Deepika Padukone ahead in 'Chennai Express'

Shahrukh Khan always looks very generous towards women. He has been
saying that he wants women ahead to men in every aspect of life. In an
addition to his kindness, he kept his words by placing Deepika
Padukone's name before his own during the numbering of his upcoming
film 'Chennai Express'.

According to the source, who watched the screening of the much awaited
film, Shahrukh Khan had earlier promised to keep his heroines' names
ahead of every other actor of the film and he fulfilled it with the
recent release. However, the film will hit the theaters tomorrow on
the pious Muslim festival Eid.

SRK made the promise during a Tata Tea Taza advertisement. The
superstar is the brand ambassador of India's leading tea company.
During an ad campaign of the company, The King Khan was asked that he
always talks about the women empowerment so why doesn't he comes
forward to do so. He asked that where he stays behind in supporting
them. So, the questioner replied that during the numbering of his
films, he always keeps his name first. So, after taking a sip of the
tea, he answered that now it will not happen again.

Standing on his words in the advertisement, he has kept the name of
the female lead Deepika Padukone at the first place.

Shahrukh Khan is not only the lead actor of the film but also the
producer of the film. He and his wife Gauri Khan are producing the
film under Red Chillies Entertainment banner. Famous as main stream
entertainer, Rohit Shetty has directed the film.

The film is full fledged entertainment venture. It is being
categorized as an action comedy film by the film pandits. The film
will hit the big screens tomorrow on August 9.

However, Shahrukh Khan has always stood in support of women
empowerment and has said that they should be right on top in every
field whether it is education, media, business or management. So, it
is considered as his first step towards women empowerment.
