SRK Reveals His Promotional Ideologies

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is promoting
his upcoming flick with extensive vigor
despite suffering from severe health
hassles. The star while promoting his
sleek film in Delhi emphasized that it is a family entertainer, with
its theme being such that everyone can relish it together.

This Rohit Shetty directorial that will
bring back the hit pair of Om Shanti Om – Deepika Padukone and SRK
together, is all set to deliver yet another hit at the
box office.

SRK, who in his elaborate career spanning over two decades has played
many roles, has always been clear that
he makes films for the audiences and
masses. "My films are for the masses,
similarly Chennai Express is for the masses and needed to be promoted
extensively," SRK said while addressing
the crowd in the Capital.

He also appreciated his director Rohit
Shetty's films for having the strong aroma of entertainment in it. To
elucidate he said, "Rohit's films have a
variety… comedy, drama, romance and
action… everything. Chennai Express is a comedy film with a love story, but it's
definitely not like Kuch Kuch Hota
Hai or Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. It's a family entertainer. There's
a little action too. It's something that whole family can sit down and
watch together."

Since the actor recently had to undergo a shoulder surgery in May, he refrained
from promoting Chennai Express with
the craze he did his previous film Ra One. "I've always promoted my films
extensively… this time it's less because I
am not well. I have recently got a surgery done. But I strongly feel that
every film requires right marketing and
promotions," added Shah Rukh.

Talking more about the marketing
strategies that are relevant depending
on the premise and plot of a film, he
said, "It (marketing) depends on the
films that what kind of promotions it
needs. We didn't promote My Name Is Khan that much. Yashji (Yash
Chopra) expired before the release of Jab Tak Hai Jaan, but we
promoted Ra One extensively worldwide."

Chennai Express is scheduled to be one of
the year's most stellar releases given its
plot and lead stars. Being SRK's first
release after veteran director Yash
Chopra's film Jab Tak Hai Jaan, this is
going to be the year's sole SRK film with all his fans frantically
pining hopes on its
success.
